The Best Social Work Podcasts for 2025
Podcasts are a great way to stay in touch with what’s happening now in the field of social work and social work education. It doesn’t matter if you are a social work student, social work educator, or licensed social worker, podcasts can be a tool for learning and growth.
Below I’ve put together a list of my favorite podcasts for 2025 but I’d love to hear about your favorite social work podcasts. If you have one to recommend, please email me at amanda@socialworkersareawesome.com.
Social Work to Wealth
This is a brand new podcast for 2025.
Licensed social workers Taylor and Faith are taking on the big topic of money, wealth, debt, and salaries all from a social work perspective. I love their honesty and positivity.
Check them out here. You can also follow them on Facebook here.
The Social Work Podcast
The Social Work Podcast with Jonathan Singer, PhD is the GOAT of social work podcasts. Even with an irregular publishing schedule, you’ll want to subscribe and listen to absolutely every episode. For each episode, Dr. Singer includes APA citations and a full transcript. He’s that good.
Recent podcast episodes include: Social Roots of Youth Suicide and How Do You Feel? Interview with Jessi Gold, MD. Listen to this podcast on his old school Blogspot site.
The G. Taylor Show
Mental health, career wisdom, and interviews! You should absolutely add this podcast to your playlist in 2025.
Recent podcast episodes include: From the Bagel Shop to LCSW and Professor, 3 Ways Social Workers Can Land Speaking Gigs!, and Road to DSW: How to Choose. You can find The G. Taylor Show on Apple Podcasts here.
NASW Social Work Talks
This is a smart podcast with some of the most important leaders in the field of social work and social work education. New episodes are published about once a month.
Recent podcast episodes include: Why Social Workers Make Great Leaders, Mass Deportation: Unjust and Harmful to the Nation, and Career Pivots — It’s Never Too Late to Become a Therapist. You can listen to this podcast on NASW’s web site.
Macro Social Work Your Way
I love Marthea Pitts, MSW and it might be hard to find a bigger macro social work advocate and enthusiast. If you are curious about macro social work and are thinking of making a career shift, Marthea can help with a free course you can find on her web site.
